In concrete terms, what does "one identity, one credential, every format" mean?
Each person has a single identity in SECANDA Secure, along with their rights, payment settings and access zones. The RFID card, phone, QR code or biometrics are simply methods for presenting that identity. You manage the person once, and every credential linked to them inherits the same data automatically, with no duplicate entry and no parallel system.
What happens if a card or phone is lost or stolen?
You block only the affected credential, without touching the identity or the person's other credentials. Access, payment and login remain available through the credentials that are still valid, and a replacement can be issued in minutes. The entire operation is recorded in the audit log.
How are joiners and leavers handled?
Every identity has a start date and an end date, together with a configurable grace period. Once the grace period ends, the identity is archived automatically: rights, access and payment are deactivated, while the history remains available. Reactivation takes a single click, with no re-entry. Depending on the person category, rights and values are also assigned automatically as soon as the identity is created.
Does SECANDA Secure become our master identity repository, or does it sync with our existing HR and AD systems?
Both approaches are possible. SECANDA Secure can act as your central identity repository or synchronize with your existing sources (LDAP/AD, HR, SIS, ERP) through file import, REST API, webhooks and native connectors. Exchanges run in both directions via SECANDA Connect: identity stays centralized while your ecosystem retains full flexibility.
Can each administrator be restricted to a specific scope?
Yes. Roles provide granular control: you define the rights for each action, choose which fields are visible and limit access to a specific data scope, for example a site, a campus or a person category. An administrator then sees and manages only the identities within their scope, and every action stays recorded in the audit log.
