Do we have to configure every door manually in SECANDA, or are our existing doors imported automatically?
Your doors and door groups (access profiles) are imported automatically from the connected access control systems. You don't re-enter your building's topology: SECANDA Access picks up the existing structure, and you then manage access rights on top of it. As your installation evolves, new access points are imported the same way.
How are access rights assigned to people?
In three ways, which can be combined. Manually, by selecting a person and the authorized zones. Automatically, based on the person category or role, so that a new arrival or a change of position triggers the right permissions with no manual step. Or through the API, to drive assignments from your own systems (HR, SIS, ERP).
When I grant or revoke access, how quickly is the access control system updated?
Granting and revoking are instant: the change is applied in real time in the relevant access control system. When someone leaves or a badge is lost, access is removed immediately, across every site and every system at once, with no wait for an overnight sync.
Does SECANDA Access manage only doors, or other equipment and several brands at once?
Both. SECANDA Access drives several types of equipment (doors, lockers, parking) and several systems in parallel (SALTO, Dormakaba, Gantner or any other system that can be integrated). Each site can keep its own brand, while access governance stays centralized on a single platform.
Do you also supply the hardware and support the rollout?
Yes. We are an official SALTO reseller: we supply, configure and support the hardware, in addition to the governance software layer. Every deployment is led by a dedicated project manager, who works with the building stakeholders (architect, facility manager, integrators) to map the zones and doors and configure the access profiles.
